Sara Hacala, Neighbor

Sara Hacala is the author of <i>Saving Civility: 52 Ways to Tame Rude, Crude and Attitude for a Polite Planet,</i> which launched in bookstores and online August 31, 2011 by Skylight Paths Publishing.

Her book focuses on 52 positive and practical solutions that each of us can employ in our everyday lives to make the planet a more pleasant place to live.  Her hope is that by joining hands within various sectors—the business and professional arena, healthcare, schools, government, as parents etc.—we can create a positive cultural shift in our society.   

A certified etiquette and protocol consultant by profession, Sara has also worked in government, broadcasting, and as an entrepreneur—having founded a high-end corporate gift firm, which she ran for eighteen years. 

She and her family—husband, Tom, and daughter, Katie—have resided in Weston since April 1998.
