The Jesse P. Sanford Boys & Girls Club, located at 170 Cross Highway in Redding, was founded by Sanford, a former…More First Selectman of Redding, in 1939.</p> <p>According to the club's <a href="http://www.rbgc.net/">website</a>, its mission is "to provide an opportunity for boys and girls to participate equally, regardless of skill level, in athletic, cultural, social and leadership programs in a wholesome and safe environment."</p> <p>There are baseball and softball fields at the club's complex, as well as a red barn in which there's an office, a snack bar and room for equipment to be stored.</p> <p>The club has baseball, softball, lacrosse, basketball, volleyball, tennis, wrestling and field hockey teams.</p>
