CT DEEP Employee breaking more laws in Redding, CT

White Buffalo, Inc. employee Andrew Walter was caught breaking CT DEEP regulations in Redding, CT    3/8/14. Andrew Walter shot at a deer on       420 Black Rock Turnpike Saturday evening at approximately  7PM.  Walters` was witnessed shooting from the ground.  CT Deep special permission require that he be a minimum of 10 feet off ground. The complainant, home owner who lives 360 feet from the incident reported to the Redding Police that she had not been notified of any shooting,  24 hours in advance which is required under the special CT DEEP permission and would be a  500 foot safety violation. The home owner was quite upset and told the police that her sister was outside walking her dog at the time of the shooting. Redding police took a written report of the incident.....White Buffalo denied all claims of the violations.  The home owner at 436 Black rock turnpike was also not notified of the shooting which makes two safety violation against White Buffalo for Saturday  3/8/14.  The Redding police department will also be notified of this second safety violation.   White Buffalo,Inc. under state statute 26-7 is a volunteer employee of the CT DEEP.       The CT DEEP needs to be investigated in regards to their deer culling program related to the ITM tick study in Redding, CT before there is a accident. ____________________ Witness account      Shooter was observed shooting from an upside down garbage can about 3-4` high off of ground approximately 50` behind 420 Black Rock Turnpike. Home owner, complainant asks how can I get this shooting to stop, can we call the DEEP;  Redding officer remarks that in essence the shooter is authorized by the CT DEEP and DEEP will not do anything. Redding officer then remarks that DEEP has given these guys basically a license to  " JACK DEER "  in Redding ,CT.  At this point we mention to the Redding officer that the shooters are required by there DEEP  special permit to be a minimum of 10 feet off the ground.......The officer remarks that the shooter said he was in a tree stand. Then why is he shooting off a upside down garbage can on the ground ?  Redding officer remarks, it does not matter and that the DEEP is not going to do anything !  At this point we realize that yes the officer is probably right,  the CT DEEP is not going to do anything regardless of how many laws or rules under the special permission these guys break  !  On Sunday 3/9/14 we surveyed ( map property lines and laser distances ) to the area around  420  and  416 Black Rock Turnpike to see if there is anything further we can do. There was no indication that a deer had been recovered on the property. We have now heard from the homeowner of  436  Black rock turnpike who was also, not notified  24 hours  in advance of the shooting. Both Homeowner`s will have all their phone records pulled to verify that CAES did not contact them 24 hours prior to shooting.  White Buffalo has been baiting,  luring the deer off of Redding land trust property and then shooting them when they step on the property of 420 Black Rock Turnpike
