WRE: Winter Storm Hercules Hub

Winter Storm Hercules, as it's been dubbed by The Weather Channel, is moving into the region and dumping some snow on us overnight, so this hub is where Weston Redding Easton Patch will be tracking all developments related to the storm. To follow along with developments in real-time from home or work, here's a link to the National Weather Service page tracking that info.

Metro North is on a Saturday schedule on Friday.

What's Closed

All schools in Weston, Redding and Easton are closed Friday.

Weston Town Hall Offices will be closed Friday morning. Plans are to open at noon. The town website will be updated by 11 m.

"[T]he Department of Motor Vehicles is canceling all road tests on Friday. The cancelation is due to expected inclement weather and poor road conditions. Anyone with a scheduled road test can call DMV to choose a new date. The numbers to call are 860-263-5700 if someone is within the Hartford area and toll-free 800-842-8222 for those outside the Hartford area. DMV is also attempting to contact customers with road test appointments to advise them of the schedule change."
