Did you know that the skills needed to get to the Super Bowl are the same skills used by good students? Just as football players prepare all year for this one day, successful students do what it takes to make sure they are ready, everyday, for their classes, assignments, projects and tests. What are the shared secrets between football and students? Here then, is an abbreviated version of this week’s Thursday Tips:

At school and on the field, we want to win. How do we get there? Practice makes perfect, and we plan ahead to organize our busy schedules. Demanding of ourselves as we demand of our teams is the way to win our own game as a successful student. Making sure we understand the material and keeping our skills fresh will provides a great foundation for success. Relying on our coaches, and maintaining a positive attitude, will guide and keep the path to winning in sight.

You can be sure that your favorite football player, and team for that matter, will use these strategies win on Sunday.

This book really was a great read. And I bet his reading will be quite a performance too. Mr. BlackRead More is not only very, very funny, but very astute too. He's a screenwriter, so it shouldn't have surprised me to find that he is an excellent writer, but I was really impressed.
