The boys basketball defeated No. 17 seed Hyde Leadership 50-47 on Tuesday in the first round of the Class M state tournament.
The Trojans, who improved to 13-9, earned a date at top seed and undefeated Enfield on Thursday.
Enfield, which went 20-0 in the regular season, earned a bye in the first round of the tournament.

Also on Tuesday, the Staples-Weston-Shelton boys hockey team suffered a 4-3 loss to No. 7 seed in the first round of the Division II state tournament.
The Wreckers, who endured a 10-game losing streak after a 6-1 start due to a plethora of injuries, finished the season at 9-12.
