The U14 Boys and members of the WHS Soccer Team gathered at the Weston High School turf field last Saturday to pay tribute to their 12-year-old friend and teammate AJ Cina, who died in a tragic bike accident in July.
All of the 30-plus players participating in the memorial scrimmage wore blue and yellow wristbands inscribed with the words "We Remember AJ." The game began
with a midfield circle and a moment of silence, then the players went on to
celebrate their friend by playing the game he enjoyed so much.
Throughout the coming year members of AJ’s team, the U14 Boys, along with all of the U13s and 14s, will wear AJ's number 4.
