Barlow Boys Lacrosse Soars Over Ellington Knights, 17-4 (Video)

Falcons advance to Class S semifinals to face top seed Stonington (17-2)

Nolan Stauffer led the way with seven goals and four assists as the Balow boys lacrosse team routed Ellington 17-4 on Saturday in the CIAC Class S quarterfinals.

The third-seeded Falcons will face top seed Stonington (17-2) in the semifinals on Wednesday at a site and time to be determined.

Barlow (15-4), which reached the semifinals of the South-West Conference playoffs,  is looking to advance to the championship game for the third time in school history.

In 2002, the Falcons won their only state crown with a 10-9 victory over Weston in the Divison II final.

Barlow returned to a state final five years later, but fell to Weston 10-8 in the Class S championship game.

Stonington is in the Class S semifinal for the second straight year after defeating Granby 10-6 in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
