Weston Board of Education members honored 17 Weston High School students who were named 2014 Merit Commended Scholars at the Oct. 21 board meeting. These scholastically talented students were presented with certificates from The National Merit Scholarship Corp. and the board.
Students were recognized for their outstanding performance, scoring in the top 5% of more than 1.5 million high school seniors who took the PSAT qualifying exam.
Among the students honored were Zev Koffsky, Oscar Morris, Henry Morris, John Kerns, Heydar Ensha, Joshua Malett, Trammell Saltzgaber, Andrea Yankovich, Mikey Light, Dominique Kren, Alden Daniel, Benson Kane, Alexander Krigsman, James Murphy, Rachel Spencer, Chase Troxell and Zachary Weinstein.
