Weston High School Recognizes Its Outstanding Students

Lisa Deorio, principal of Weston High School, announced that the following students have been named Commended Students in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program:

Alden Daniel, Heydar A. Ensha, Benson D. Kane, John J. Kerns, Zev J. Koffsky, Dominique M. Kren, Alexander L. Krigsman, Michael A. Light, Joshua M. Malett, Henry O. Morris, Oscar C. Morris, James Murphy, Trammell Saltzgabe, Rachel C. Spencer, Chase Troxell, Zachary Weinstein, and Andrea M. Yankovich.

A letter of commendation from the school and the National Merit Scholarship Corporation which conducts the program, will be presented by the principal to these scholastically talented seniors — about 34,000

Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2014 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards, Commended Students placed among the top 5% of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2014 competition by taking the 2012 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
