Vote for a $3.27 Million Barlow High Stadium is Today

Easton and Redding residents will go to the polls today to vote on a $3,272,255 appropriation for the design and construction of a stadium field project at Joel Barlow High School.

The Region 9 Board of Education previously approved funding for the artificial turf field with new home and visitor bleachers, lighting, fencing and parking lot improvements.

If the vote passes, the cost would be divided among the two towns based upon student populations at the high school. Redding taxpayers would pay 54.88% or $1,795,814 and Easton 45.12% or $1,476,441.
