School Briefs: June 22

Weston, Redding and Easton students earn accolades nationwide.

Catherine O'Connell, of Easton recently received a diploma from Providence College. O'Connell received a bachelor's degree in humanities, summa cum laude.

Connecticut College recently released its dean's list for the Spring 2012 semester, and four local students were among those named. 

  • James Auchincloss, Class of 2015 at Connecticut College and a resident of Weston, has been named to the dean's high honors list.
  • Timothy Clark, Class of 2013 at Connecticut College and a resident of Easton, has been named to the dean's high honors list.
  • Alanna Jamner, Class of 2014 at Connecticut College and a resident of Weston, has been named to the dean's honors list.
  • Jenna Pittleman, Class of 2015 at Connecticut College and a resident of Weston, has been named to the dean's honors list.

Juniata College has named two local students to the dean's list for the Spring 2012 semester:

  • Jason Peter Greenberg of Redding is the son of Elliot and Ann Marie Greenberg and a 2008 graduate of Joel Barlow High School.
  • Sara Elizabeth Johnson of Easton is the daughter of Neil and Susanne Johnson and a 2009 graduate of .

Carly Shields of Weston has been named to the Spring 2012 semester dean's list at Ohio Wesleyan University. In order to qualify, students must earn grade point averages of at least 3.5.

  • Scott Alexander Hickling, from Easton, graduated recently with a bachelor of arts in psychology and philosophy.
  • Jeffrey Meyer Ledwick, from Weston, graduated recently with a bachelor of arts degree in environmental studies and English.
  • Alexandra Kathryn Atkinson, from Weston, graduated recently with a bachelor of arts degree in history.
