School Briefs: Feb. 27

Lily Philpott, of Weston, has been named to Beloit College's dean's list for the Fall 2011 semester. In order to be named, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.4.

Hartwick College junior Shannon Foley, of Redding, daughter of Donna and John Foley, has been named to the Fall 2011 semester dean's list. In order to be named, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5.

Danielle Sessler, daughter of Keith and Jacqueline Sessler of Redding, graduated with a major in drama from Ithaca College. The degree was awarded in December 2011.

Stephen Barna, a resident of Easton and a junior at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, is listed on the honor roll for the Fall 2011 semester. To be listed, students must be in the top 15 percent of their school of record.

James Madison University recently announced its dean's list for the Fall 2011 semester, and Connor Regan, a member of the Class of 2011. A freshman, Regan is a biology/pre-pharmacy major.

Taylor Schettino of Easton earned dean's list honors at Saint Joseph's University for the Fall 2011 semester. Schettino is majoring in English at the school. In order to be named, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or above.
