School Briefs: Feb. 23

Riley Stauffer, of Redding, earned a spot on the Loyola Marymount University Dean's List for the Fall 2012 semester.

Students named to the dean's list have completed 15 semester hours at LMU and earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better.

The following area residents were named to the the dean's list at Quinnipiac University for the Fall 2012 semester:

• David Bouton of Easton
• Zachary Singer of Redding

To qualify for the dean's list, students must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5 with no grade lower than C.

Allison Pagliaro, a resident of Easton, has been named to the Fall 2012 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Allison is majoring in History.

Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

Kathryn St. Raymond, daughter of Melanie St. Raymond of Easton was named to the dean's list for the fall 2012 semester at Saint Michael's College. St. Raymond is a Sophomore Elementary Education and History major. Students who complete a minimum of 12 credits and achieve a grade point average of at least 3.4 at the end of a semester are recognized for their scholarship by inclusion on the dean's list.

St. Raymond graduated from Joel Barlow High School before coming to Saint Michael's.

Colby-Sawyer College has named Jordan Perry Scheiner from Redding, to the dean's list for academic achievement during the 2012 fall semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours in graded courses. Scheiner, a member of the class of 2013, is majoring in Sport Management.

Sarah V. Curry, of Easton, has been selected for inclusion on the dean's list for academic achievement during the Fall 2012 semester at St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y. To be eligible for the dean's list at St. Lawrence University, a student must have completed at least four semester units and have an academic average of 3.6 (based on a perfect 4.0 scale) for the semester.

Curry, a member of the class of 2013, graduated from Joel Barlow High School.

Juniata College has named 365 students to the dean's list for the 2012 fall semester.

Sara Elizabeth Johnson of Easton, the daughter of Neil and Susanne Johnson, and a 2009 graduate of Joel Barlow High School, was named to the 2012 fall dean's list.

The dean's list recognizes grade point averages of at least 3.6 out of a possible 4.0.
