School Briefs: Aug. 6

Weston, Redding and Easton students earn accolades at colleges across the country.

Cecilia Probst, of , has been honored for academic achievement by being named to the Spring 2012 dean's list at Delaware Valley College.

Sacred Heart University recently held commencement ceremonies, and four local students were among those who earned degrees:

  • Neetha Desai, of Redding, chemistry
  • Jonathan Grande, of Redding, psychology
  • Maryn Kozerowitz, of Easton, teaching (master's)
  • Jenna Maisel, of Easton, psychology

Two local students were among those who earned degrees from Ithaca College:

  • Benjamin Smith, a resident of Weston, received a degree from Ithaca College's School of Humanities and Sciences with a major in environmental studies.
  • Hannah Dubner, a resident of Easton, received a degree from Ithaca College's School of Humanities and Sciences with a major in musical theatre.

Austyn Wilde, of Weston, graduated from the University of Hartford on earlier this summer. Wilde received a bachelor of arts degree in politics and government.
