School Briefs: Aug. 10

Weston, Redding and Easton students earn accolades at colleges nationwide.

Alexandra Kendall, of , recently graduated from The Loomis Chaffee School. She was the recipient of the Morris H. Brown Senior Theater Arts Prize and the Charles Edgar Sellers Faculty Prize. She was the Head Residential Assistant, the senior section editor for the Confluence Yearbook, and a member of Dance Company and Dance Revue. She will matriculate at Bucknell University.

Meredith Lomuscio, a member of the Class of 2013 from Weston, has been named to the Spring 2012 dean's Llist at Loyola University Maryland. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must have a GPA of at least 3.5 with a minimum of 15 credits.

The following students were named to the Spring Term 2012 deans' ist at Choate Rosemary Hall:

  • Rachel Mellon, daughter of Marc Mellon and Babette Bloch of Redding
  • Jacqueline Bernstein, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David H. Bernstein of Weston

Kelly Wieman, a resident of Redding, made the dean's list for the Spring 2012 Semester at the University of Montana Western. The dean's list includes students who achieved a 3.33 grade point average or better.

Amanda Macchio, a Logis/Intermodal Transpo major from Redding, has been named to the list for excellence in academics at Georgia Southern University. To be eligible for the dean's list, a student must have at least a 3.50 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.
