Easton, Redding Voters to Decide on $1.5M Roof Repair for Joel Barlow

Vote next week on repairs to high school roof.

The towns of Easton and Redding will be holding referendums on Tuesday, July 22, asking residents of Regional School District 9 to approve $1,455,000 to restore the roof at Joel Barlow High School.

Appropriating the cost based on the number of students from each community, if passed, Easton residents would be responsible for 45.9 percent ($667,845) and Redding taxpayers 54.1 percent ($787,155).

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Samuel Staples Elementary, 515 Morehouse Road, for Easton Voters.

Redding voters can cast their ballots from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Redding Community Center at 37 Lonetown Road.
