Wildlife Mismanagement & Money Redding, CT: A modern ponzi scheme has been built on the backs of the wildlife in Redding, Ct. Similar to what we find on Wall Street these days, wildlife is being used as currency for the enrichment and greed of a few. Wall Street mentality has moved to the suburbs with the killing of just one deer bringing in upwards of $1,750. Much like a ponzi scheme, what you think you have in the woods may not actually be there ! Wildlife experts in the State of Connecticut have recently designed a scheme that shows an overabundance of wildlife through overpopulation counts to further it`s monitory gain. The goal which is similar to most ponzi schemes, over selling product you do not actually have. The State of Connecticut is selling hunting licenses to hunters and then re-selling the rights to shoot these same deer to the professional shooters when the hunting season ends. In doing so the wildlife is hunted almost year round. The only way that the wildlife experts can do this is through the manipulation of the wildlife population. Say you have 2 - 3 times that what you actually have. Through this manipulation of deer population numbers in Redding, CT we have seen a decrease in deer population of nearly 65% over the last 3 years. In Fairfield County alone the average count is less than 14 deer per square mile but wildlife management in CT will tell you it is approximately 30 - 40 plus deer per square mile for the same given area. Why ? As long as your wildlife population looks high on paper, they are able to sell licenses and wildlife to a larger group of buyers in this case, regular and out of state hunters and of course the professional shooters. If you actually tell the public that your supply of wildlife is low you will lose your market share to other states and that is the main reason for the inflated population counts. In order to bring in your professional shooters you need a reason, and the reason that they were able to come up with was Lyme disease and the overpopulation of wildlife causing it. Tell the general public enough times they are in danger of getting lyme disease from deer and they might actually start to believe you; so you call it an epidemic ! Now you have to pay the professional shooters and wildlife management people that brought them in so they chose to use government grants. In this case it was a CDC ITM grant in the amount of $900,000 plus and counting. After you pay your professional shooters their piece of the government grant ( $175,000 ), you are able to split up the rest of the grant money with your management group or wildlife experts which comes to $725,000.00. " This hard-to-imagine scheme is being played out on Redding's wildlife and the unsuspecting public, "
