Farewell Party to Thank Ketcham for 14 Years

First Selectman Natalie Ketcham is not seeking re-election after a 14-year-run in Redding's top office. A gathering in Ketcham's honor in planned at the Redding Country Club on Nov. 17, giving of constituents and friends a chance to say "good-bye" and to thank Ketcham for her years of service to the town.

The Salute to Natalie is being organized by a five-member bi-partisan committee. The group has worked with the Country Club staff  to produce what it hopes will be a special evening with delicious and filling hors d'oeuvres.

Beverages will include Prosecco, red and white wine, soft drinks and beer; there will be a dessert table featuring pastries and petite fours, coffee and tea. There will be scattered tables for those who wish to sit, but the goal is for a free-flowing event that will allow everyone a chance to mingle and to  talk to Natalie Ketcham.

The public is invited to the farewell party, which will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. It costs $50 per person to attend and payment is required to secure a reservation. Checks should be made to Emily d'Aulaire — with "Ketcham Party" entered in the memo field — and mailed to Emily at 21 Sunset Hill; Redding, CT 06896.

The list of invitees is not restricted to Redding residents. Anyone who wants to come and celebrate Ketcham's years of service to Redding and wish her well is welcome. Space is limited.
