Emergency responders airlifted one woman for critical injuries after a serious three-car crash which occurred on Rte. 7 this past Sunday, August 12, just south of the Day’s Inn, according to the Redding Police Department.
Chief of Police Douglas Fuchs said they are still investigating the matter and are not yet releasing names or identifying information of those involved in the accident.
Fuchs said that he did not know the woman's current condition, but only that she is alive.
Ridgefield Fire “was in full force” at the scene and Ridgefield Police assisted with traffic, said Fuchs. A large section of Rte. 7 spanning Rte. 35 and Rte. 102 intersections remained closed for approximately five hours, said Fuchs.
All three vehicles were towed from the scene.
