Police arrived on the scene, and Betesh's daughter told police that "her mother [had] been out of rehab for approximately one month and [they] both had been sharing the same bedroom for a few nights."

According to police, Betesh's daughter thought her mother had been drinking and took her brother into a room and locked the door, because she was scared of her mother. Her mother, the daughter said, allegedly kicked down the door, according to police.
