Weston Man Arrested for Assault at Wilton Home

Thomas Patterson, 39, is accused of punching and choking a Bridgeport man while the two were visiting a home on Shadow Lane, according to police.

A Weston man was arrested by Wilton Police on Saturday after he allegedly assaulted a Bridgeport man while visiting a friend's home on Shadow Lane, according Lt. Donald Wakeman.

The 50-year-old victim told police that he and Thomas Patterson, 39, of 38 Ravenwood Drive, where visiting the home at 34 Shadow Lane when Patterson punched him in the face repeatedly, put him into a headlock and then into a chokehold, Lt. Wakeman said. The victim suffered injuries to his face and knees as a result of the fight, according to the police report, and two nine year-old children witnessed the assault. 

Wakeman said that the fight started when the resident of the home told the two that one of them had to leave the property. Patterson was charged second-degree strangulation, third-degree assault and risk of injury to a minor. He posted a $15,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 28.
