Weston Firefighters Extinguish a Blaze On Old Redding Road

Weston firefighters battled a blaze at 38 Old Redding Road at 12:19 p.m. Sunday when a fire was reported on the second floor playroom of a two-story attached garage.

The fire was quickly extinguished by the first arriving engine and no injuries were reported, according to a press release issued by the Weston Volunteer Fire Department.

A total of 35 firefighters from Weston responded to the emergency call, along with an engine from the Wilton Fire Department, which covered Weston Fire headquarters.

The Weston Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
