Teens Arrested on Drug-Related Charges at Barlow

Redding Police arrested two teens last week.

 

Two 16-year-old Joel Barlow High School students were arrested on drug-related charges after school officials observed a drug sale between them last week.

On Thursday, Sept. 20 at 2:47 p.m., officers responded to the high school after school officials contacted them, reporting they observed a 16-year-old Redding male sell a 16-year-old Easton female marijuana brownies.

According to police, the male was charged with illegal distribution of marijuana while the female was charged with illegal possession of marijuana.

The two juveniles were released to the custody of their parents and will appear in juvenile court in the near future.

This incident marks the second time in September where drug-related arrests occurred at Joel Barlow.
