Did the disorderly conduct arrest involve expressing an opinion? If so, this republic is in even greater trouble than I imagined. And I had already imagined it was in great trouble.

Patch Editors, could you please provide us with more details about this arrest. I'm very uncomfortable that residents are getting arrested at a Board Of Selectman meeting. Very uncomfortable.

Denying Freedom of Speech is a dangerous precedent, and it was prevalent in Germany in the 1930's with leaders that were not public servants, but had another agenda. We can't seem to change Washington politics, but if we pay attention, if we pay close attention, we can see that information is being withheld. A librarian is arrested. The press is being manipulated. Physical intimidation is taking place. Let's take a closer look at elected officials who don't allow residents to legally petition to investigate corruption.

i could not agree more. a full blown story about the intimidation and harassment of citizens at the hands of the easton police needs to be done. it has been going on for years. i have soo much proof, witnesses, evidence, statements, that is not related to this one incident, but shows a pattern, that has been going on for years. an excuse is a lie guarded, never forget that.

AGREE there is more to the librarian story. easton behaves like pondscum and rewards it, which is why it continues.
