Stranger Offers Easton Teen Candy at Bus Stop

A 15-year-old Easton male had just gotten off the school bus on Kachele Street Wednesday afternoon and started walking up his driveway, when a black male in a dark-color Mercedes pulled up and offered him chocolate, according to police.

The teen ran into his house and called his father, who in turn called the police at 1:12 p.m.

"Easton officers immediately responded to the scene, but were unable to locate the vehicle," said Chief James Candee. "Kachele Street runs from Madison Avenue in Trumbull to the cul-de-sac in Easton. The intersection is approximately one-quarter mile from the Madison Middle School in Trumbull."

Area police departments were notified.

This is creepy. Good for this young man to run and call his father. Smart move. Parents, please talk to your kids about all the perverts out there. Strangers offering candy is not normal.
