Stop Sign Violation Leads to a DUI in Redding

A Brookfield driver was arrested for DUI at around 1:55 a.m. on Oct. 4 after police say he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Cross Highway and Sanfordtown Road.

Field sobriety tests determined Michael Gianazza, 24, was under the influence and breath tests at headquarters showed a blood alcohol level over the legal limit, according to police.

Gianazza was charged with DUI and failure to obey a stop sign. He was released $50 bond for an Oct. 18 court date.
