Slow Driving Leads to a DWI Arrest in Redding

A Weston man was arrested for DWI on Aug. 31 after a police officer saw his vehicle turn onto Route 107 from Brookside Drive and continue on at a slow rate of speed at around 1:28 a.m., according to the report.

Steven Scribner, 50, was charged with DWI and failure to drive right and released on $60 bond for a Sept. 13 court date.

Police said Scribner's vehicle was only traveling at 20 mph at one point, adding field sobriety tests at the scene determined he was under the influence. Scribner did not take a breathalyzer at police headquarters, according to police.
