Shelton Man Charged with Burglary in Easton

The man allegedly burglarized two homes in Easton in October.

A 20-year-old Shelton man has been charged with a handful of crimes in connection with two burglaries that occurred in Easton in October 2012.

On Feb. 20, Easton Police arrested Conner Buckley, of Oak Avenue, and charged him with first degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first degree larceny, two counts of conspiracy to commit burglary in the third degree, sixth degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth degree larceny. 

According to police, on Oct. 3, police responded to a residence on Morehouse Road following a report that someone stole numerous items there, including $21,025 worth of jewelry. On Oct. 9, police responded to a Burr Street residence after receiving a report someone had stolen numerous items there, including $150 worth of jewelry.

After investigating the two burglaries, police applied for a warrant for Buckley's arrest.

Buckley was held on $10,000 bond and arraigned in Bridgeport.

On Feb. 15, Leonard Stanziale, 59, of Oxford turned himself in on a warrant Easton Police held for his arrest regarding issuing a bad check.

According to police, an Easton resident reported the crime on Jan. 4.

Stanziale posted a $500 bond and is due in court Feb. 28.
