Ridgefield Teen Charged with DUI in Redding

Redding Police news, Dec. 18 through Dec. 22.

Brady Lamneck, 19, of Ridgefield was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to grant one-half of the highway to oncoming traffic following a motor vehicle accident on Long Ridge Road on Dec. 18 at 9:38 p.m.

According to police, Lamneck was heading north when he sideswiped a vehicle heading south. He then hit an embankment and rolled over.

Lamneck was held on $150 bond and given a Jan. 3 court date.

Tomas Diaz, 34, of Stamford was picked up by Stamford Police on a failure to appear warrant Redding Police had issued for his arrest. Diaz was picked up on Dec. 21 at 7:57 p.m.

The warrant stemmed from a July 2011 arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol that Diaz did not answer in court.

Two neighbors were charged with assault in the third degree following an altercation over cutting up a tree near their properties. The arrests occurred on Dec. 21 at 11:36 a.m.

Steven Pomazi, 68, and Adam Negri, 52, were both released on promises to appear in court Jan. 4.

Stephanie Costa, 25, of Hopewell Ridge Road was charged with driving without insurance and traveling too fast for conditions after she got into an accident on Black Rock Turnpike on Dec. 22 at 5:16 a.m.

Costa allegedly veered off the road, struck a utility pole and rolled her vehicle.

“It appears the operator fell asleep,” Police Chief Douglas Fuchs said.
