Estelle Wilcox, 43, of Redding was charged by Wilton Police with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia following a motor vehicle stop on Danbury Road, near Cannon Road, on Jan. 1 at 1:08 a.m.
Following the stop, officers detected the odor of alcohol emanating from Wilcox, who subsequently failed field sobriety tests. Police took her in to custody and determined her blood alcohol level was .19. Following the arrest, officers located marijuana and a smoking pipe in her possession.
Wilcox was held on $200 bond and given a Jan. 11 court date.
