Redding Teen Caught with Pot at Joel Barlow

A 17-year-old Redding male was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at Joel Barlow High School after a security guard found the drug and a pipe on him on Monday, Dec. 3 at 10:58 a.m.

A 21-year-old Redding male was arrested in connection with the vandalism of someone else's car.

Redding Police responded to a Marchant Road residence on Nov. 27 at 12:33 a.m. after receiving a report that someone had damaged the complainant’s vehicle, causing $1,000 worth of damage.

Bruce Rowley was subsequently arrested and charged with criminal mischief in the third degree. He was released on a written promise to appear in court on Dec. 12.

A 46-year-old Redding male was charged with disorderly conduct following an argument with his wife that turned physical on Nov. 27 at 10:01 p.m. He was released on a promise to appear in court the next day.

A Drummer Lane resident reported someone stole a UPS package, worth less than $100, from their residence on Dec. 1. According to police, this type of scam, where someone follows around a UPS truck and steals boxes left on front porches, is becoming more and more common.

William Moss, 31, of Redding was charged with driving with a suspended license following a license plate reader hit on Umpawaug Road on Nov. 25 at 12:47 a.m. He was released at a promise to appear at a Dec. 6 court date.

Neusa Dasilva, 45, of Danbury was charged with driving with a suspended license, misuse of registration plates and failure to carry registration following a license plate reader hit on Black Rock Turnpike on Dec. 3 at 10:15 a.m.

Christopher Mahoney, 54, of Westport was charged with driving with a suspended license following a license plate reader hit on Newtown Turnpike on Dec. 3 at 8:22 a.m.
