Redding Police to Amp Up Holiday Patrols

Redding police officers will be on the lookout for drivers who are too into the holiday spirits. Chief Douglas Fuchs says extra patrols will enforce DUI laws through New Year's Eve.

"Drunken driving is something we're overly aware of at this time of year," Fuchs said Monday. "We're reminding everybody and putting red ribbons on our cruisers."

The red ribbons are magnets spreading awareness of the dangers of drinking and driving.
