Police Arrest a Bethel Man for Allegedly Evading an Accident

EASTON — A 26-year-old Bethel man was arrested on a warrant this week because he allegedly evaded the scene of an accident at 10:26 p.m. on May 25 when police say his Chevy Equinox crossed over the center line on North Park Avenue and struck the rear of a vehicle turning onto the roadway.

The other vehicle was occupied by servers leaving a house where a wedding reception took place, police said, adding nobody was injured.

They managed to get the plate number of the Chevy leading to a warrant for Zachary Stetson's arrest.

During a traffic stop in Norwalk, police noticed Easton's active arrest warrant and turned him over to town officers.

Stetson was charged with evading responsibility and failure to drive right.
