Mary Kennedy Found Dead in Bedford Home
Police are investigating the death of Mary Kennedy of Bedford.
The Westchester County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed to Patch that the death at 326 South Bedford Road this afternoon was that of Mary Kennedy, the 52-year-old wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Bedford police responded to the residence at 1:36 p.m. to investigate a possible unattended death.
The Kennedys were married in 1994, but Robert Kennedy, Jr. filed for divorce in May.

That news of their split followed a , including a 911 call from the residence which led to police filing a domestic incident report, and another police call to the house for domestic incident involving the children, followed by a drunken driving arrest outside of the St. Patrick's School carnival.
The downward spiral followed a harmonious picture of the couple that was presented in April 2010, to the media and to a special event featuring the Boys & Girls Club Youth Awards.
