On Monday, April 16 at 4:08 p.m., received a report of an older white male walking on the trails in the area of Fairview Farm Road who was allegedly masturbating. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the man.

On Friday, April 20, Redding Police spotted an individual known to have a warrant out for his arrest on Redding Road at 5:13 p.m.

Kenneth Szogas, 51, was charged with failure to appear in the first degree. The charges stemmed from a July 2011 disorderly conduct charge after an altercation at the Redding Roadhouse.

Szogas was released on $100 bond and given a May 3 court date.

DUI arrest

On Saturday, April 21, police responded to a report of a vehicle parked in the middle of Marchant Road with its operator slumped over the wheel. Upon arrival, officers detected the smell of alcohol on the driver’s breath and saw an empty alcoholic beverage in the car’s cupholder.

Curtis Elston, 37, of Bronx, N.Y.,  was unable to perform field sobriety tests and was taken into custody, where he refused to be breathalyzed. He was released on a $500 bond and given a May 3 court date.
