The Connecticut Post reported that U.S. District Judge Janet Bond Arterton decided against the towns in a 2008 police raid that killed an unarmed Norwalk man in Easton.
Police officers from Easton, Monroe, Trumbull, Darien and Wilton were on the Southwest Regional Emergency Response Team that took part in a raid on Ronald Terebesi's 91 Dogwood Drive home. Former Easton Police Chief John Solomon planned the raid because police believed drugs and guns were in the house.
During the raid, Gonzalo Guizan, 33, was shot a half dozen times by Monroe officer Michael Sweeney, according to the Post.
The plaintiffs are seeking more than $10 million in damages.
