A former bus driver for the Weston Public Schools has reportedly been sentenced to five years in prison on charges of threatening town officials, engaging police in a 10-hour standoff and possessing child pornography.
According to a report in The Hour of Norwalk, Scott DeiCas, 51, formerly of New Canaan, must also serve 15 years of probation on charges of possession of child pornography and two counts of second-degree threatening.
As part of his sentence he reportedly must undergo sex offender treatment as well as mental health and substance abuse treatment.
In addition DeiCas, who has been in prison since July 30, 2010 — following a dramatic standoff in July 2010 with New Canaan Police — must pay a total of $10,000 to the towns of Greenwich, New Canaan, Westport and Fairfield, as well as $300 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to the report.
