Former Redding Highway Superintendent Arrested

Bruce Sanford, 59, is charged with three counts of larceny in the second degree and attempted larceny in the second degree.

Former Redding Highway Superintendent Bruce Sanford was arrested on Sept. 9 and charged with three counts larceny in the second degree of a victim over 60 and attempted larceny in the second degree of a victim over 60, according to a press release sent by Police Chief Douglas Fuchs.

"Following an extensive investigation, an arrest warrant was issued by Danbury Court charging Sanford with the above charges," Fuchs said. "Sanford turned himself in to Redding police officers at the . At this time there are no further details available about this arrest as there is still an ongoing police investigation."

Sanford, 59, was released on $4,000 cash bond to appear in Danbury Superior Court on Sept. 22. He lives on Winding Brook Court.
