Easton police officers are still investigating the cause of an accident that occurred on Route 59 at 6:52 p.m. on July 28, in which a woman lost control of her car and it went into the woods, striking a utility pole and snapping it in half.
Police officers, firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the scene and EMT's treated the woman and transported her to St. Vincent's Medical Center for injuries sustained in the crash, according to the report.
Police said gas was leaking at the scene, adding the cause of the accident has yet to be determined.
