Easton Police Investigate Two Traffic Accidents

Police and firefighters responded to the scene of a Hyundai lying on its side in the middle of Everett Road at 2:48 a.m. on Aug. 11. No driver was seen around the vehicle, according to the report.

The driver, an 18-year-old Everett Road man, was eventually found, treated by Easton EMS personnel and transported to St. Vincent's Medical Center, police said.

He was issued a summons for failure to drive right and possession of alcohol by a minor in a public place.

Police said a bottle of an alcoholic beverage was found inside the vehicle and the teen had told an officer it was his.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

An Erratic Driver on Rt. 59

Officers responding to a call of an erratic driver on Stepney Road at 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 8 found the blue Volvo in a driveway. The driver, a 51-year-old man who suffered injuries, was transported to St. Vincent's Medical Center, police said.

Police had been told the Volvo went off the road and lost a hubcap, before the driver pulled into a nearby driveway, according to the report.
