Easton Police Charge Norwalk Man with DUI

Easton Police news, Nov. 5 though Nov. 15.

After receiving a report of a one-car accident in the area of Flat Rock Road and South Park Avenue, Easton Police arrived on scene and found a 20-year-old Norwalk man who needed medical assistance.

Michael Pinto, of Alvin Drive, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to drive right, failure to wear a seat belt, failure to keep narcotics in the proper container and illegal possession of prescription drugs. He was also issued an infraction ticket for possesion of marijuana.

Pinto was taken to St. Vincent's.

Jeffrey Ditch, 25, of Massilon, Ohio was arrested and charged with failure to respond to an infraction on Nov. 15 at 1:00 p.m. He was arrested pursuant to habeas corpus in court where he was answering non-related charges.

Ditch was originally charged with violating a town ordinance for soliciting without a permit on June 23 of this year.

He was arraigned the same day.

On Nov. 5, a Kellers Farm Road resident reported to police someone had stuck a bottle of bleach in their mailbox which exploded, leaving behind a white substance.
