Easton Police Arrest Couple for Attempted Burglary

Officers say they found a Danbury couple with their Ford Escape backed up to the garage doors of a home on Riverside Drive.

Easton police arrested a Danbury couple for an attempted burglary on Riverside Drive at 11:25 Wednesday morning, following a complaint by a resident who saw two strangers walking around the house knocking on the doors and ringing the door bell.

Officers arriving on the scene found a man and woman standing near a black Ford Escape that had been backed up to the garage doors, police said. A subsequent investigation found both to be in possession of a small amount of narcotics and drug paraphernalia, according to the report.

Natasha Marcy, 32, and Romulo Andrade, 24, of William Street were both charged with conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary, criminal attempt to commit third-degree burglary, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia and released on a written promise to appear in court on Dec. 16.
