Easton Man Charged With DUI, Weapon in Car

DUI arrest
On Wednesday, April 11 at 12:35 a.m., police arrested a 21-year-old Easton resident for driving under the influence of alcohol, having a weapon in a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to police, Kyle Saunders was southbound in the northbound lane on Route 59 when he missed a police officer’s motor vehicle. He then failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. Saunders was released on $20 bond and given an April 30 court date.

Roaming dogs
On Friday, April 13 at 11:03 a.m., responded to two complaints of aggressive, loose dogs on Southfield Road. Francis Callahan, 52, of Southfield Road was issued an infraction for two counts of roaming dogs.

Youth rollover accident
On Sunday, April 15 at 1:55 a.m., Easton Police responded to a rollover accident on North Street. The 17-year-old driver was issued an infraction for speeding, driving an automobile during 11 p.m. and 5 a.m., and passenger violations.
Failure to appear
On Sunday, April 15 at 2:38 p.m., Derby Police reported a Bridgeport resident — Elizeu Baia, 37 — had turned himself in on a warrant for failure to appear in court to answer motor vehicle charges issued by Easton Police.
