CT United Ride to Cause Traffic Delays in Redding Sunday

REDDING — Drivers can expect delays of up to 25 minutes this Sunday when motorcycles participating in the Connecticut United Ride roar through town late in the morning.

Police Chief Douglas Fuchs says the ride will enter Redding on Route 107 in Georgetown on its way to Route 58, where it motorcycles will head north into Bethel.

The annual Connecticut United Ride is Connecticut's largest 9/11 tribute. All funds raised benefit family emergency relief funds for Connecticut police officers and firefighters and the two local United Ways.

Sunday's ride will start in Norwalk and roll through 11 towns before the 60 mile course ends at the beach in Bridgeport.
