A Brush Fire Between Two Easton Homes

Easton firefighters and police responded to a large brush fire on Tuckahoe Road at 9:35 Saturday night. Police said the fire, which apparently started from a light fixture in mulch on one residential property, covered approximately one acre — between two houses.

The circuit breaker in that home had to be shut off as firefighters battled the blaze, according to police, who said the fire was knocked down at 10:07 and under control by 10:16.

The Long Hill fire department from Trumbull stationed an engine on standby during the incident, according to the report.
