To the Editor:
John Shaban's letter to the Patch saying he is serving the people of his district is not supported by his voting record.
As reported in http://votesmart.org/candidate/126733/john-shaban Representative Shaban has voted nay in 16 of 17 "key votes."
The only yes vote was to allow alcohol sales on Sunday. His environmental voting record is as bad as shown in http://www.ctlcv.org/uploads/6/2/0/1/6201942/2012_scorecard_lr.pdf where he has one of the most environmentally hostile votes in the Connecticut Assembly.
Voters of the 135 Assembly district need an active positive voice in Hartford, not another version of Doctor No. I would urge a vote for Leon Karvelis who is extraordinarily well qualified.
