CT DEEP Overpaid White Buffalo by $55,152.48 for 2014 & 2015
On January 9, 2014 the CT DEEP removed ( 100 deer ) from the contract of the CAES and White Buffalo, Inc. for the ITM study. This amount ( 100 deer ) represents 66.66% of the total ( 150 deer ) $82,737.00 contract price that WB signed for years two and three. White Buffalo`s contract should be paid to reflect the 66.66% reduction of work for years two and three, which comes to approximately ( - ) $55,152.48. This amount ( $55,152.48 ) should be deducted from the contract price. If WB has already been paid for 2014 ( $50,230.00 ) which we believe they have, then they should not be paid the final $ 32,507.00 owned under the current, pending contract for year three services and be required to return the over payment amount of ( $ 22,645.48 ) to the CDC ITM study.
The CAES renewed the White Buffalo, Inc. contract on 1/17/14 without reflecting the CT DEEP changes of 1/9/14, ( minus 100 ) deer change. Why ?
White Buffalo, Inc. is being paid $17,600.00 for deer processing ( butchering ) under the three year CDC ITM study contract. Monies spent to date for ( 28 ) deer, butchered and distributed were $1,680.00 in 2013. According to the CAES ( Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station ) records, an Oxford, CT butcher donated the butchering of deer for 2013 & 2014
This is just the latest misstep of the ITM Tick Study in Redding, CT. Monies not used for the processing of deer under the CDC ITM study should be paid back to the CDC ITM study.
White Buffalo shooting out of bounds for both 2013 & 2014 by ( 1/2 mile West of the test site ) 2,700` out of bounds. How many deer where shot on 19 Top Ledge Roadoutside of the testing site for both 2013 & 2014 ?
* White Buffalo and the CAES by shooting outside the test sites for both 2013 & 2014 and illegally taking approximate ( 20 + ) deer from the site, 19 Top Ledge Road and Top Stone Park ; should not be allowed to kill / take another ( 25 ) deer in year three ( 2015 ) of the contract. The CDC ITM test currently underway in Redding, CT has lost all validity with these illegal actions.
