Candidates Visit the Weston Republican Town Committee

Campaign season has begun!  At the February 11th meeting of the Weston Republican Town Committee (W-RTC), members got the chance to hear from eight different candidates who are either running for, or considering a run for various state and federal offices.

Candidates who appeared included four possible Gubernatorial Candidates: Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton (photo attached), State Senator John McKinney (R-28th), State Senator Toni Boucher (R-26th) and Joseph Visconti.  Two candidates for Connecticut’s 4th Congressional District addressed the group: Dr. Joseph Bentivegna, and State Representative John Shaban (R-135th).  Also speaking before the W-RTC were Trumbull First Selectman Tim Herbst who is running for State Treasurer, Nelson Gonzalez who is a candidate for the 28th District State Senate seat currently held by John McKinney and Walter Reddy who is running for the 26th District State Senate seat currently held by Toni Boucher.

The Weston RTC meets every second Tuesday of the month at 8pm in the Weston Town Hall Meeting Room.  Meetings are open to the public.
