James Jasensky, 50, Redding Business Owner, Drummer

Father, husband, radon mitigation provider, business owner, Cub Scout leader, drummer, Mets & Jets fan, James Jasensky passes away at age 50.

James Jasensky, age 50, beloved husband of Josephine “Gigi” Jasensky of Redding, died March 9, 2014 at Danbury Hospital.

Born in Greenwich, CT on September 9, 1963, he was the son of Frank and Mary Ann Kinnelly Jasensky of Old Saybrook. Mr. Jasensky was a 1981 Graduate of Greenwich High School, and Graduate of Norwalk Technical School.

He was a Licensed Radon Mitigation Provider and worked as the owner and operator of Oasis Environmental Solutions of Redding for 10 years, until the time of his illness. Mr. Jasensky was an active leader in Cub Scouts and a Redding Little League Coach.

He was the drummer of the local band Three Track Mind, a dog lover, and an avid sports fan particularly of the Mets and Jets. He will be long remembered for his unending love of his children and his great sense of humor.

In addition to his parents and wife of 19 years, he is survived by his cherished children, William J. Jasensky and Olivia S. Jasensky, both of Redding; sisters Patricia (Gerard) Jasensky Mucha of Fairfield, Debora (Charles) Jasensky Wolfe of Deep River and Penny (Thomas) Jasensky Skulski of Wallingford; mother-in-law, Stella Stachyra of Port Chester, NY; brother-in-law, Renè Huiban of Stamford; 11 nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles, & cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial, MEETING DIRECTLY AT CHURCH, will be celebrated on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM, in St. Patrick Church, 169 Black Rock Turnpike, Redding. Springtime interment will be private. Family and friends may call on Friday, March 14, 2014 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield.
